The Calgary Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby across Southern Alberta. Within our sub-union, we support four representative rugby programs.

Our rep teams compete in Alberta Regional Competitions, where players have the opportunity to be selected for Rugby Alberta's Wolfpack teams.

Application For Representative Rugby Funding Support
The Calgary Rugby Union (CRU) is happy to support their athletes who reach higher levels of competition and understand this comes with significant financial costs. This is an application for the high-performance rugby funding support offered by the Calgary Rugby Union to individuals selected to Provincial and/or National representative rugby competition.

The applicant must be:

The applicant is an active member of a CRU Member Club

The applicant should outline any representative rugby (Mavericks, Wolfpack, etc.)

The applicant must demonstrate financial need

The applicant must demonstrate their contributions to the community in other ways beyond rugby

The applicant must outline how they live by the values of rugby: integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline, and respect

The applicant must be 23 years of age or younger

The applicant should explain why they are a suitable candidate for this funding support. Please limit responses to a 2-page limit.
