2010 Registration
To start playing rugby all you need to do is contact a rugby club in your area, or contact the Calgary Rugby Union office and they will take care of the rest.
Rugby has been played in Southern Alberta for over 100 years, interrupted only by the two world wars. Rugby has been played continuously in the Province since 1954. It is played and is enjoyed by people of all ages, ability and skill levels. Whether you have aspirations to play for Canada or are new to the game there is an opportunity for everyone to get involved.

The Calgary Rugby Union is an umbrella organization responsible for the administration and organization of adult rugby in Southern Alberta.
There are a total of ten clubs with 31 adult teams entered in the Southern Alberta Rugby Leagues:
Adult Men's Programs:
Men's 1st Division - 6 teams
Men's 2nd Division - 9 teams
Men's 3rd Division - 7 teams
Adult Woman's Programs:
Women's Premier Division - 1 team
Women's 1st Division - 8 teams
Traditionally, the season starts the first week of May and runs until late September. Most clubs begin outdoor training in early April.
The Alberta Junior Rugby Association oversees all Junior and Minor Rugby leagues for players under the age of eighteen.

U-8 Co-ed - Noncontact Flag Rugby
U-10 Co-ed - Noncontact Flag Rugby
U-12 Co-ed - Noncontact Flag Rugby/Controlled Contact
